mass apostasy among anointed ones... ???
by Albert Einstein inthe number of partaking at the memorial is increasiong.
the usual explanaition is, that the new partaking anointed ones are replacements for the "unfaithfull" previous anionted.. what is confusing me, ... looking at the numbers of newly partaking each year .... , to see how many former anointed ones must have proved uinfaithful .... over 10% each year????
what did they commit?

Over 10% each year???? What did they commit? adultery? Most of them are 90 years old....
The increse means also, they, althought proved unfaithfull (and probably got DF) are still partaking at the memorial, as well as the new ones, chosen by Jah, so their number is higher and higher each year ....
I dont grasp this, so please, go to your elders and ask them: Brother, whats happening that so many thousands of our beloved anointed brothers are proved unfaithfull in the eyes of Jah, so he has to replace them with new ones???? And how many thousands anointed will be replaced this year????
Please, tell me after, what explanation your elders gave you ...

According pictures in WTBS publications - it will be something like asteroids falling down from the sky ... It must be true, because GB gets information directly fom Jehovah - remember last WT study?

Were you afraid to go to a bar?
by rebel8 insomeone who shall remain nameless (*cough*snowbird*cough) mentioned she has never been to a bar.. this shocks me.. i was remembering how terrified i was of going to a bar when i was exiting the mother ship.
i was looking for the lightning bolts to get me.
and it was a big nothing really.

Hi rebel,
in Europe it is nothing unthinkable, many you can go to a bar and nobody really cares. Of course you cannot get drunk to much ...
But I think most JWs in Europe are more "loose" than in US (depends on country ...) . Have many friends in Holland, and they are really wild ... kids dressed very worldly, posters of pop stars in kids rooms, adults partying very often, fancy cars and motorcycles etc... While visiting them, we were "stumbled" often...

Have the same situation with my wife. My suggestion:
1) Openly express your feelings. If you love him - tell him.
2) Openly, with zero emotions, explain your feelings toward WTBS. Explain what you do not belive in anymore and why. You ll have to repeat it several times probably, he will not understand it, do it without emotions.
3) We started deep family study together - we study history of WTBS (Hey - we should know history of our religion - shouldnt we?), mainly using Poclaimers book, sometime I ad some additional material .... focus on change of doctrins, false prophecies, Beth Sarim, Beth Shan .... Rutheford ....
4) We sarted daily Bible reading of New Testament - chronological. Focus on things that do not fit in WTBS doctrines ... In first century no centralized headquarters, Christians just walked with Christ, being led by the spirit, christians did not need any aproval from "GB" to form a congregation, ... Jesus saying we must dring his blood to gain everlasting life, ... other sheep ..., 144 000..., christians prayed to Jesus (epikaleomai) 1stCo1:2 and many others ...., We never read Bible as much as now, when I became an "apostate" ... and it is so interesting! Forget the WTBS crap and just read what early christians were doing ...
5) Dont give him the impression you want him to change his mind anyhow. Treat him like you want to observe the issues together - well,he is your spiritual head and you have some issues that troubles you ...
6) Dont have the attitude in your mind you want to change him.. He is a uniqe person with a free will... The goal is to help him to loose fear and to freely make up his mind. The goal is also to save your marriage (if you want to...)
My wife was raised as a hard core JW, when I first started "hush" on her, telling her in 5 minutes what I was learning two years, it seemed we will end up in divorce. But now it has changed a lot ... I give her questions she is not able to answer, after years of pioneering she see she has no biblical support for most WTBS doctrines ... we study the issues together, we talk openly without emotions slowly about diferent spiritual subjects... I dont know If she will quit as JW and I dont care ... I want her to loose fear and to fully understand everything ...
My situation is recent and very similar to yours. If I could help you anyhow I would be happy.

What did you think about "apostates" when you were JW?
by Albert Einstein ini spent 17 years in jws, first 11 were very zealous.
i feel very stupid now to admitt - but until several months ago i really believed "apostates" and all people who left jws were kind of arogant, nasty, agresive, proud and i was afraid of getting in touch with them.. i remember finding coc book in a bookstore and (since i was very curious...) i touched it (with a great guilt feeling), opend it, and read it for maybe 2 minutes.... i was so afraid it will affect me somehow badly .... and that i will displease god by doing it .... i felt so bad by sining this way .... now i see there are more kind people among those who left, than in wtbs..... i started meeting some "apostates" in my town, i see they are more reasonable and often more spiritual than jws ... it is like coming out of the darkness ...... could you believe i was such an idiot?.
what about your experience?.

What finally pushed you over the edge?
by keyser soze inwas there one issue or incident, final straw, so-to-speak, that made you leave once and for all?
i know there was for me.. i had been having doubts for years, and had stopped believing it was the truth.
but i labored on as a jw, in part because of my family, and in part because i had invested so much of myself in it.

Berean: thats correct! First years of my slowing down I had to cope with the feeling "What if it is somehow right and I might loose the chance to live forever ..." Now I feel the same way: I better live 10 years in freedom than everlasting life in a world ruled by hippocrites...
